Established since 1999, Rain Forest Management (RFM) becomes one of the fastest growing sawn timber companies in Gabon, West Central Africa. As a foreign investor traveled from Malaysia and conducted the business in Africa for decades, RFM continuously shaping the industry with the best sawn timber technology and expertise. RFM exports sawn timber in Kiln and Air Dry to Asia, Middle East, Europe and South Africa markets. RFM also specialize in downstream industry for making excavator mats, moulding products and the solid doors in which exclusively sell at the domestic market.
Over hundred of thousands hectare of tropical rain forest owned by RFM are well managed by according to Gabon forestry laws. On top of that, international non-profit organization, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) once certified RFM as the company that promoted responsibility to the forest. In addition to create hundred of job opportunities, RFM provides safety working and living environment, clean water supplies and healthcare to local and foreign employees.
RFM private owned forests cover the areas in northern Gabon, the Woleu-Ntem and Moyen-Ogooué province.
Located on the equator, between latitudes 3⁰N and 4⁰S, and longitudes 8⁰ and 15⁰E, the rain forest in Gabon generally has a tropical monsoon climate with a lengthy wet season and a short dry season. The average temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the course of the year, with average high temperatures at around 30 degree Celsius or 86 degree Fahrenheit, help nourish the rain forests and create habitats for thousand of animal species.
